FA Cup semi-finals 2024/25: When did each remaining team last win the trophy?

With the 2024/25 FA Cup having reached the semi-finals stage, we take a look at the last time each of the remaining four teams won the competition.

FA Cup

Manchester City (2022/23)

Pep Guardiola's Manchester City last lifted the FA Cup as recently as 2023 as the second leg of their historic Treble of trophies.

In the first ever Manchester derby FA Cup final, seven-time competition winners City prevailed 2-1 over neighbours United at Wembley Stadium in London.

City skipper Ilkay Gundogan netted the fastest FA Cup final goal of all time - volleying an exquisite effort past David De Gea in the Man Utd goal after just 13 seconds.

Man Utd's Bruno Fernandes levelled the 2023 final from the spot after 33 minutes before Germany international Gundogan added to his account with the pivotal winner in the 51st minute of the showpiece.

Nottingham Forest (1958/59)

Nottingham Forest last tasted success in the FA Cup 66 years ago back in the 1958/59 season.

In front of a crowd of 100,000 at the old Wembley Stadium, Forest ran out 2-1 winners over Luton Town in the final to claim their second FA Cup title.

Roy Dwight and Tommy Wilson sent Forest into an early two-goal lead inside the first quarter of an hour of action, with David Pacey scoring what proved to only be a consolation goal for Luton in the 66th minute of the contest.

Since their triumph of 1959, the furthest Forest have progressed in the FA Cup is the semi-finals, reached on three occasions - 1967, 1988 and 1989.

Aston Villa (1956/57)

Although Aston Villa have a considerable seven FA Cup titles to their name, they have not won the competition since way back in 1957 under the management of Eric Houghton.

The Villans conquered Manchester United in the FA Cup final of 1957, with a brace of goals from Northern Irish hitman Peter McParland inspiring Houghton's charges to a 2-1 victory despite a consolation goal from Tommy Taylor for the Red Devils.

Since 1957, Villa have reached two FA Cup finals - losing 1-0 to Chelsea in 2000 and 4-0 to Arsenal in 2015.

Crystal Palace (Never won)

Oliver Glasner's Crystal Palace are aiming to win the FA Cup for the first time in the club's history in 2025.

The Eagles have finished as FA Cup runners-up on two occasions - losing 1-0 in a final replay against Manchester United in 1990 before going down 2-1 to the same opposition after extra time in 2016.
