FA Cup 2024/25 Outright Odds: Manchester United 12/1 to defend their crown

Manchester City are 3/1 favourites to win the 2024/25 FA Cup, with holders Manchester United 12/1 to successfully defend the competition.

FA Cup 2024/25 Odds

For the second year running we were treated to an all-Manchester FA Cup final but on this occasion, it was Manchester United who defied the odds to win the competition for a 13th time.

Manchester City were overwhelming favourites heading into the showpiece but they were undone by two first half goals from Alejandro Garnacho and Kobbie Mainoo. Jeremy Doku carved a lifeline for the Citizens with minutes remaining but Erik ten Hag's side held on, alleviating the intense pressure surrounding their under fire boss.

No team has defended their FA Cup crown since Arsenal in 2015 and Manchester United are 12/1 to buck that trend, with Ten Hag seeking silverware for a third consecutive season.

To do that they may need to topple their local rivals again, with the market indicating Man City are once again the team to beat.

In a trophy-laden spell under Pep Guardiola where they have dominated the Premier League and EFL Cup, the FA Cup is a competition that has sometimes been a source of frustration for the Citizens, having bowed out at the semi-final stage on four occasions during the Catalan's tenure.

Man City are 3/1 to secure an eighth FA Cup trophy and Guardiola's charges will commence their 2024/25 campaign with eyes fixated on an unprecedented quadruple.

Arsenal are second in the betting in 7/1 at an important stage of Mikel Arteta's reign.

Having pushed Manchester City close for the Premier League title in two consecutive seasons and reestablishing themselves among Europe's elite, it feels as though Arsenal need a trophy to mark the progress they have made under the Spaniard's stewardship.

Winning the FA Cup in Arteta's debut season as manager, Arsenal have not progressed beyond the fourth round in the last four seasons, though the Gunners appear to be assembling a squad that should aid their battle on all four fronts this term.

Liverpool are 9/1 to lift the trophy as they embark on a new era under Arne Slot. A top-four finish will be a priority for the Dutchman, but success in cup competitions will help to silence any doubters as he embraces the unenviable challenge of replacing Jurgen Klopp.

One team who are set to be a fascinating prospect this term are Chelsea and they're 10/1 to be crowned 2024/25 FA Cup champions. Mauricio Pochettino has lay the foundations with a young, exuberant squad and his successor Enzo Maresca, one of Guardiola's many coaching disciples, will look to hit the ground running at Stamford Bridge.

Newcastle United (11/1), Tottenham Hotspur (14/1) and Aston Villa (16/1) are all aiming to banish their respective trophy droughts.
