While the Italian Grand Prix has been an annual occurrence since 1921, 1950 was the first Formula One World Championship. Giuseppe Farina was the winner of the race that year, driving for Alfa Romeo.
Stirling Moss was the first Brit to win the Italian Grand Prix in 1956 with Maserati, following that up with a second consecutive victory in 1957 with Vanwall.
Lewis Hamilton and Michael Schumacher are the drivers with the most titles at this event, winning the race on five separate occasions respectively.
Charles Leclerc is the most recent winner of the Italian Grand Prix, triumphant in 2024.
