A new season of Formula 1 commences in Australia this weekend and anticipation is bubbling ahead of a potentially enthralling year.
It's the first time Albert Park has hosted the curtain-raiser since 2019, and the threat of wet weather only serves to heighten the excitement as reigning world champion Max Verstappen begins his title defence and Lewis Hamilton makes his Ferrari debut.

The 2025 Australian Grand Prix will take place at the Albert Park Circuit in Melbourne, Australia.
F1 first raced at Albert Park in 1996 after inheriting hosting duties from Adelaide and has remained on the calendar ever since, with the exception of 2020 and 2021 due to the Covid-19 pandemic.
Consisting of nine right corners and five left, Albert Park has a track length of 5.278km (3.28 mi).

Albert Park is expected to bask in warm sunshine on Friday, with slightly more cloud cover arriving on the Saturday and temperatures reaching highs of 36’C.
Sunday temperatures are markedly cooler and there is a 90% chance of rain from midday onwards. Rainfall is expected to be anywhere between 3-10mm.
