Traditionally Formula 1's season opener, we've compiled a list of the previous winners of the Australian Grand Prix since the inaugural race in Adelaide in 1985.
The Australian Grand Prix was first held at the Adelaide Street Circuit and was a fixture on the F1 calendar for 10 years until the race moved to Melbourne in 1996, where it has remained ever since.
Of the 11 races staged in Adelaide, six were won by world champions, including Alain Prost and Ayrton Senna who clocked two victories each at the venue. Adelaide was also the scene of the infamous Michael Schumacher and Damon Hill collision in the battle for the 1994 title.
Hill had the novelty of taking victory in the final race in Adelaide and the inaugural Grand Prix in Melbourne, with the Williams driver going on to claim his one and only world championship in 1996.
There have been multiple winners of the Australian Grand Prix since Hill's last triumph but no driver has taken more victories Down Under than the legendary Michael Schumacher, who took the chequered flag on four occasions between 2000 and 2004.
Jenson Button and Sebastian Vettel trail Schumacher by one having claimed three race wins apiece in Australia.
