A marathon 24-race season stretches out ahead for the 20 Formula 1 drivers, starting in Bahrain this weekend.
For 19 of those drivers, the challenge will be to at least get closer to Red Bull superstar Max Verstappen, who won 19 of last year's 22 Grands Prix on his way to a third consecutive world championship.

There have been very few changes in the technical regulations and no changes to the driver line-ups from the end of last season, so it came as a surprise when some very different-looking designs hit the track in Bahrain for pre-season testing.
Even Red Bull, who appeared to have hit upon a near-perfect design in 2023, will be campaigning a car featuring a number of innovations, including some that appear to be copied from rivals' cars.
That could be an ominous sign that the all-conquering team are about to get even better, but it could be that 2024 will be more of a clean slate than many had anticipated.
McLaren emerged as arguably the chief challengers to Red Bull during the second half of last season.
Lando Norris amassed more points than anyone save for Verstappen across the final 13 races of the season while his rookie team-mate Oscar Piastri picked up two podiums and even won the Qatar Sprint.
There is no need to panic over the fact the team failed to set a headline-grabbing lap-time in testing.
There were a few technical gremlins during preseason which contributed to them completing 88 laps fewer than Ferrari.
However, they are clearly in far better shape than at this point last season and they proved in 2023 that they can introduce upgrades and be confident they will work straight away.
Norris has been a winner-in-waiting for a few years now and his six second-place finishes last season was the most of any driver.
Norris is capable of consistently delivering the maximum potential of his machinery, which will be an asset over a 24-race season.
The fact McLaren finished only fourth in the Constructors' Championship means they are allowed to carry out more development work than the teams expected to be their main rivals.

Yuki Tsunoda surprised many by making his Formula 2 and Formula E champion team-mate Nyck de Vries look ordinary in the first half of last season.
Eight-time Grand Prix winner Daniel Ricciardo also struggled to match the Japanese pilot when he took over the second Alpha Tauri seat and it could be a similar story when the pair campaign the rebadged RB car this season.
Tsunoda outperformed Ricciardo in four of the six races they both finished when team-mates last season and registered four points finishes to the Australian's one in that time.
With the car looking stronger this year, points could be more readily available, but Ricciardo still needs to prove himself after a disastrous 2022 with McLaren and Tsunoda looks underrated in the market.

Ferrari set the headline times in testing, thanks in part to making the most use of the faster, soft tyres.
But right at the end of the three days George Russell snuck in a lap a whisker off Leclerc's table-topper and Mercedes could be dark horses for the new season.
Mercedes edged out Ferrari for second place in the Constructors' Championship last season, despite having a slower car, and they enjoyed a promising pre-season.
After an extensive redesign, the new car is visibly more forgiving on track, handling a lot better than its predecessor and that will give drivers Russell and seven-time world champion Lewis Hamilton confidence to extract the maximum.
