Every current PFL Champion

The Professional Fighters League has reigning world champions in six of the nine weight classes they hold fights in.

Fight Markets & Bet Boosts

For the first several years of the PFL's existence the promotion employed a tournament system that saw fighters competing several time throughout a season, with a champion in each weight class crowned every year.

While the format was praised for being unique in the MMA sphere, the congested schedule proved to be taxing on fighters and the scoring format confusing for a wider audience, leading the promotion to adopt a more traditional model of champions defending their belts on a per fight basis.

With the promotion set to push on in 2026 and continue to expand we've taken a look at every current PFL champion.

Current PFL Heavyweight Champion

Vadim Nemkov - 20-2 (1):

The latest heavyweight talent to follow in Fedor Emelianenko's footsteps by transitioning from combat sambo to MMA, Vadim Nemkov has been a sensation since making his way to the PFL via Bellator in 2024.#

A world champion at 205lbs in Bellator, Nemkov moved back up to heavyweight after debuting in PFL and has been absolutely dominant inside the cage ever since.

In December 2025 Nemkov submitted former PFL tournament winner Renan Ferreira in the opening round to claim the inaugural heavyweight title.

Current PFL Light Heavyweight Champion

Corey Anderson - 20-6 (1):

A figure likely to be familiar to UFC fans, Anderson spent six years in the promotion after being crowned the light heavyweight winner of the Ultimate Fighter 19.

After departing the UFC whilst still ranked at 205lbs, Anderson followed Nemkov's path to the PFL via Bellator and hasn't looked back since, with just one defeat in his last nine fights.

In March 2024, Anderson defeated Karl Moore to be crowned the final-ever Bellator light heavyweight champion and the decorated collegiate wrestler followed that up with a win over Dovletdzhan Yagshimuradov to claim the inaugural PFL belt.

Costello van Steenis - 17-3:

A staple of European MMA over the last decade, Costello van Steenis amassed an impressive 8-1 record as a professional before signing with Bellator in 2017.

'The Spaniard' continued to improve throughout his time in the promotion, and he entered the PFL in 2024 off the back of an impressive submission of Gregory Babene in a title eliminator at 185lbs.

After making quick work of Joao Vitor Dantas, Van Steenis took on the previously unbeaten Johnny Eblen at PFL Champions Series 2. With Eblen comfortably ahead on the scorecards and time running out in the fifth and final round Van Steenis secured the win and the world title via submission in one of the most dramatic moments in the history of MMA.

Current PFL Welterweight Champion

Ramazan Kuramagomedov - 14-0:

One of the most intriguing prospects at 170lbs in the sport, Ramazan Kuramagomedov is the latest MMA talent to emerge from the Russian republic of Dagestan in recent years.

The 29-year-old gained notoriety in the infancy of his professional career after multiple UFC stars detailed his potential after coming up against him in sparring.

In February 2026 Kuramagomedov defeated Shamil Musaev in Dubai to win the first world title of his career before suggesting in his post-fight interview that he could retire from the sport entirely.

Though his feature inside the cage is uncertain Kuramagomedov remains the PFL welterweight champion.

Usman Nurmagomedov - 21-0 (1)

The cousin of UFC legend Khabib, Usman Nurmagomedov has shown no signs of feeling the pressure of continuing the family's reputation for dominance inside the cage.

Since making his professional bow in 2017 Usman has been largely unstoppable inside the cage outside of his two fights with Paul Hughes.

When Nurmagomedov and Hughes faced off for a second time in 2025 the Russian secured victory via the judges' scorecards before becoming the first man to defend a PFL belt when he submitted Alfie Davis in February.

Defeated Paul Hughes (UD) – October 2025

Current PFL Women's Featherweight Champion

Cris Cyborg - 29-2 (1)

Arguably the most successful MMA fighter since the sport's inception, Cris Cyborg has held gold in almost every promotion she has fought under since making her professional debut all the way back in 2005.

Since departing the UFC in 2019 Cyborg has continued to do what she has throughout her career, brushing aside any challenger that stands in her path and securing wins over the likes of Cat Zingano, Larissa Pacheco and Leslie Smith.

In December 2025 Cyborg defeated decorated Australian judoka Sara Collins to be crowned PFL champion and add yet more silverware to her collection.
