Everton Relegation Odds: Toffees 2/1 for the drop

Having survived relegation for each of the last three Premier League seasons, Everton look set to be gearing up for another battle to avoid the drop, priced up at 2/1 to go down.

(Odds will display when markets are available)

The Toffees narrowly stayed up in the 2021/22 and 2022/23 seasons, and while last season was more comfortable in the end, the points deduction added far too much unwanted jeopardy on Merseyside.

And just when Everton thought they were out of the woods, reports emerged the club may be hit with a fresh points deduction.

With a level playing field, Everton should have enough to finish above the three newly promoted sides of Leicester - who are facing a potential penalty of their own - Ipswich and Southampton, but ownership issues rumble on, and the Toffees have endured a troublesome start to the new campaign.

Amadou Onana departed for £50m with Ben Godfrey also leaving, with Tim Iroegbunam (£9m), Iliman Nidaye (£15m) and Jake O'Brien (£16m) the three reinforcements.

While it's expected that a Sean Dyche side will be strong defensively - indeed, Everton's xGA was the sixth best in the league last term - there are concerns in front of goal, with Dominic Calvert-Lewin and Abdoulaye Doucoure top-scoring with seven last season.

Calvert-Lewin is set to the lead the line again at Goodison Park this season, with any more incomings unlikely until the ownership situation is sorted out.
