Everton boss David Moyes has reportedly approved the signing of Manchester City right-back Kyle Walker.
With AC Milan opting not to sign the Manchester City right-back, Kyle Walker’s future is up in the air, with a host of sides reportedly in the mix to sign him.
Everton are the latest side to emerge as a potential destination for the 35 year old, and just hours after respected journalist Fabrizio Romano broke the news that the Toffees had made “contact to sign Kyle Walker from Manchester City”, he declared that David Moyes had sanctioned the signing.
Romano said via ‘X’:
David Moyes approves Kyle Walker as ideal target for Everton with talks underway for the right-back.

“Everton in contact to anticipate Fenerbahce and more clubs.”
The opening months of the 2024/25 term were arguably the toughest of Kyle Walker’s career, vastly criticised for his performances in a Pep Guardiola side playing well below their impeccably high standards.
No longer in the Man City boss’ plans, Walker was granted a loan move to Italian outfit AC Milan, where he would play 11 times in Serie A as his side recorded an underwhelming eighth placed finish.
The option to make the signing of Walker permanent was declined by Milan, and while Turkish side Fenerbahce are exploring the move, a stay in England could be on the cards in the form of Everton.
With Seamus Coleman’s future uncertain after over 16 years of service for the club, Nathan Patterson has failed to convince in the right-back position, playing just 10 of a possible 38 Premier League games in the most recent campaign.
Signed as a central defender for £16.4m, Jake O'Brien has seen most of his minutes come at right-back, and the signing of Walker could allow the Irishman to play in his more natural role.
