Bournemouth have moved fast to replace Dominic Solanke with the club-record signing of highly-rated Porto striker Evanilson.

The Brazilian becomes Bournemouth's sixth summer signing as Andoni Iraola's side seek to build upon their 12th-placed finish in the Premier League last term in the 2024/25 season.

Evanilson was born on 6th October 1999, making him 24 years old at the time of writing.

Bournemouth's new signing was born in the city of Fortaleza in north-eastern Brazil.

Evanilson transfer fee and contract

Bournemouth agreed a club-record £40.2m deal with Porto for the signing of Evanilson.

The Cherries will pay an initial fee of £31.7m with potential add-ons of £8.5m.

The details of Evanilson's contract are yet to be revealed, but it is expected the Brazilian has signed a long-term deal with Bournemouth.

Position

Evanilson is very much an out-and-out striker, making him a direct replacement for Dominic Solanke who Bournemouth sold to Tottenham for £65m this summer.

Career so far

Previous clubs

Evanilson is a product of Fluminense's youth system and made his senior debut for the club in January 2018.

In September 2020, Porto agreed a fee of around £7.5m to bring Evanilson to Europe.

After impressing in Porto's B team, Evanilson broke into the first team in late 2021.

Since then, Evanilson became a regular up front for Porto, scoring 60 goals in 154 appearances in all competitions.

In his four years at Porto, Evanilson won five major trophies including the Primeira Liga title in 2021/22.

International caps

In November 2020 Evanilson received two caps for Brazil's Under 23s side in friendlies against South Korea and Egypt.
