Britain's Romell Glave claimed gold in the men's 100m at the European Athletics Championship on Tuesday night.
The 26-year-old stormed to victory after favourite Marcell Jacobs pulled up half-way through, ultimately topping the podium with a time of 10:09.
The win marks Glave's first senior title at international level after he picked up bronze in the event two years ago.
"It is an amazing feeling," Glave told the BBC.
"Just the work I out in to come here and execute my race. We have been working on my start, and I was able to execute that today.
"Upgrading from a bronze medal from 2024 is an amazing feeling."
Fellow Briton Jeremiah Azu took home silver as the hosts climbed into joint top of the medal to close out a successful day two in Birmingham.
Glaves' triumph came just 24 hours after Great Britain and Northern Ireland's Amy Hunt claimed gold in the women's 100m at the Alexander Stadium.
