Like the UEFA Champions League, the Europa League format will be revamped for the 2024/25 season with a 36-team league phase seeing all sides play a total of eight fixtures before the knockout rounds begin.
Manchester United reached the Europa League after their shock FA Cup final win over Manchester City, while Tottenham only missed out on a UEFA Champions League place due to English clubs only qualifying for four spots.
Both sides will expect to go well; United have won trophies in both seasons under Erik ten Hag while Spurs have been rejuvenated under Ange Postecoglou.
As always, Spanish sides will pose a threat in the competition with Real Sociedad and Athletic Club poised for strong campaigns, while the likes of Roma, Lazio and Porto will also expect to find themselves in the latter stages.
