Read all about the exciting, brand new esports World Cup trophy system which will be used for the 2025 staging of the competition.
Every team competing at the Esports World Cup is given a unique key at the start of the tournament. It symbolises an individual's right to compete in the Esports World Cup.
The keys are split into two sections, the inner key and the outer frame.
The inner key is a small triangle and when someone wins a tournament at the Esports World Cup, they take the inner portion and add it to the trophy which they have won.
The losers will need to hand over three of their inner keys for destruction. This means they are also added to the trophy, meaning the winning side will take a literal piece of the team they have beaten.
The outer frame is distinctive and will be placed on the honor board which honours the winners of each tournament.
Losing teams will keep the outer frame of their keys as a souvenir of their Esports World Cup appearance.
The Inner Key is inserted into the game trophy when an individual wins a tournament at the Esports World Cup.
The outer frame of the key will be put on a totem, which is a a physical block on display in Riyadh acting as the progress bar for the Esports World Cup.
When eliminated, players must give up their inner key to be crushed. This will either be soaked in resin at the bottom of the totem or chosen by the winner to go into the winners trophy.
Each game's winner can choose keys from three opponents to be encased in the base of the game trophy.
The losers will then be given a replacement which shows where they placed.
The winners of each competition get the game trophy and the champion’s key is inserted into the centre of the trophy.
The club championship trophy is awarded to the best club in the world from all of those competing in the Esports World Cup in Riyadh.
It is won by the team who meets certain criteria and is deemed the best at the Esports World Cup.
The club must reach the top eight in at least two competitions and must reach first place in at least one competition.
The totem is a physical block used to display the winners at the Esports World Cup and it acts as a progress bar, chronicling the history of the event.
The totem will be displayed in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
The totem will be displayed for the duration of the Esports World Cup, which is typically eight weeks.
