DOTA2: Action in the Xmas Show

For fans of Dota 2, there is an intriguing tier two event in the week leading up to Christmas with the Xmas Show well underway.

The online tournament, based in Europe and the CIS region, has a prize pool of $50,000 and involves 14 teams.

Four of the teams involved in the event - Entity, Gaimin Gladiators, Virtus.pro and another to be decided, are tournament Final Stage seeds with the other 10 involved all seeded in the main stage, which has already begun.

The main stage of the Xmas Show is played out in a single round-robin format with two groups of five teams. Only the top two from each group are set to progress.

HellRaisers and YNT were in action on Monday morning, while in the evening PuckChamp are 13/8 to defeat Ancient Tribe, who can be backed at 4/9.

League of Legends: Stage Two continues in Demacia Cup

It is less than a month until the League of Legends regular season begins again but in the meantime fans of the Esport, and in particular China's LPL, can enjoy the Demacia Cup.

The Demacia Cup is an offline event in China featuring sides from the country's development league as well as the LPL and it is split into three stages.

Stage One has already concluded with only three teams progressing from it to Stage Two, which brought LPL teams into the fold and is a single-elimination bracket.

Stage Three will also be played as a single-elimination knockout stage with the four top seeds - JD Gaming, Top Esports, Edward Gaming and Royal Never Give Up - joining in on the action.

On Tuesday the tournament continues with games in the second part of Stage Two as iG take on Team WE, FunPlus Phoenix clash with Huya MOJ and Bilibili Gaming lock horns with the winners of Victory Five versus TT Gaming.
