Natus Vincere were originally founded by Kazakhstani Murat "Arbalet" Zhumashevich, who was the team's initial sponsor and funded the training facilities for the players.

He initially set up the team to compete in Counter Strike and also had the support of former DreamTeam CEO Alexander "ZeroGravity" Kokhanovskyy, who went on to become the team's manager.

At the time of the team's inception, professional player "starix" took up the role of creating the team's initial lineup.

The Intel Grand Slam is awarded to the first team to win four S-Tier tournaments within a window of ten consecutive events and these tournaments are organized by either ESL or DreamHack Masters.

Natus Vincere achieved the feat back in 2021, prevailing in the ESL Pro League Season 14, IEM Cologne, DreamHack Masters Spring and IEM Masters World Championship.

The International winners 2011

Away from the world of Counter-Strike, Natus Vincere's next most successful title has been Dota 2 and in 2011, they won the most coveted title in the esport.

Not only that but it was also the first ever edition of The International with NAVI helping to put the esport on the map.

They secured $1 million in prize money with the tournament win.

Natus Vincere, otherwise known as NAVI, were the first team to win all of the Counter-Strike Majors in a single year back in 2010.

They were also the first team to win a CS:GO Major tournament without dropping a map back at the PGL Major Stockholm in 2021.
