There is just one more competition day remaining at the Dota Xmas Show. The final event in the 2022 season in Dota 2 has not disappointed, and a new winner is set to be crowned.
This fun event just doesn't disappoint, and this year's event wasn't any different. It showed that you didn't have to be a powerhouse to make a deep run in the playoffs of the event.
GG and Nemiga Gaming have fought their way to the lower-bracket final and one of the two teams still has a shot at playing for the top prize of $25,000.
The three remaining teams have all guaranteed themselves a top three finish in this event, but two of those three teams will emerge with the trophy at the end of the day on Thursday. Team Spirit awaits the winner of GG and Nemiga.
So without further delay let's take a look at the Lower-bracket final and see who has a better chance of reaching the grand final and ultimately which team will win the 2022 Dota 2 Xmas Show.
What: Gladiators vs. Nemiga Gaming, Dota 2 Xmas Show
Where: Europe
When: 12.00, Thursday 29th December 2022
Odds: Gladiators 4/6, Nemiga 11/10
The Gladiators couldn't get a map win in their previous match as they fell in two maps against Team Spirit. A team they have a chance to see one more time during this event. They now face Nemiga Gaming in the final or go home match of the event.
Nemiga kept their chances alive with back-to-back elimination match wins. The first was a victory against a very good HellRaisers squad. Then they were able to hold off Vitrus.pro who was trying to return to top form in Dota 2.
The Gladiators have been fighting to have their chance to show that they are a legitimate contending team in the world of Dota 2. They did have a respectable showing at The International 2022 event which was their first Tier 1 event they had participated in since ESL One Stockholm back in May. They were able to grab a 4th place-finish at that event as well.
Nemiga has made plenty of gains during this Xmas Show and has plenty to be proud of heading into the 2023 season.
GG and Nemiga already faced each other once during the event that was in the first round of the playoffs as the teams tangled in an upper-bracket quarterfinal. A lot has happened since then and both teams will be playing to win.
A big impact on this match will be that dyrachyo will not be in the line-up for GG, as Shad will stand-in for him. That could help give Nemiga a better opportunity, as they failed to stop him along with Quinn in the first meeting.
Regardless of dyrachyo, Gladiators still has Nemiga's number. With him missing this match should be a lot closer, but Gladiators at 4/6 are still a valuable play.

It has been a straightforward march for Team Spirit throughout this event. This team has not missed a beat. The 2021 The International Champions look to add another title to their recent success.
They failed to repeat that success at this year's International. They have been a very successful organization in 2022 though with a runner-up finish at Riyadh Masters 2022, and a Championship win at PGL Arlington Major 2022.
Since losing early on at the International, Team Spirit has not lost a match. They went unbeaten in the opening stage of BetBoom Xmas Show 2022, beating the likes of X3, One Move, PuckChamp, and Ancient Tribe.
They then opened the playoffs with a 2-0 win over Entity. That was followed by victories over HellRaisers and GG. They could still see the Gladiators one more time. Spirit awaits the winner of GG and Nemiga in the Grand Final.
Yatoro, has been the player Spirit has needed throughout this event, not to mention there in game Captain Miposhka who has plenty of experience in Dota 2. The departure of TORONTOTOKYO was a big surprise right before this event began.
No matter which team they face in the Grand Final. Team Spirit has made the most of their journey to that match. They should also be a pretty heavy favorite given they have already beaten Gladiators once in this event and didn't have any trouble with teams that gave Nemiga Gaming fits throughout this event.
