One might think that in the period of downtime between the big events on the Counter Strike: Global Offensive and League of Legends calendars that there is not a lot of Esports action to get stuck into.
That is, however, not the case and in the remainder of the week there are some great tournaments on the cards, most notably the fifth and final Major of the season in the Call of Duty League.
The event is crucial in the context of the 2023 season with teams battling it out for seedings and spots at the end-of-season Call of Duty League Championship, which is just over the horizon.
That is the most eye-catching event taking place this week but there is also action in the Overwatch League as Spring Stage qualifying heats up.
Here is a look at what is to come in the world of Esports in the remainder of the week.
Thursday
Call of Duty League: Major Five gets underway in Toronto
The Call of Duty League is approaching the business end of its season with Major Five - the last Major on the calendar - starting on Friday.
It is significant for a number of reasons, most notably because it will determine which eight teams qualify for the end-of-season Call of Duty League Championship.
As it stands, five teams - Atlanta FaZe, OpTic Texas, Toronto Ultra, Los Angeles Thieves and New York Subliners - have already secured spots in the Championship and there are only three spots left with four teams in contention.
At the other end of the standings, Florida Mutineers, Los Angeles Guerrillas and London Royal Ravens are out of the running and Major Five will be their last involvement this season.
Indeed, for Florida Mutineers and LA Guerrillas, it will be the last time we see the teams at all with the Mutineers set to merge with Spanish side Heretics to become Miami Heretics, while the parent firm of the Guerrillas, The Guard, intend to sell or merge the franchise at the end of the season.
There is, therefore, a lot riding on this Major and it begins with four matches on Thursday.
Atlanta FaZe are 1/6 to beat 7/2 shots Las Vegas Legion in the opener, while hosts Toronto Ultra can be backed at 4/6 to beat New York Subliners, who are 11/10, in the second match of the day.
Red-hot OpTic Texas take on Florida Mutineers and Boston Breach clash with Minnesota ROKKR in the other two fixtures.

Friday
Overwatch League: Spring Stage qualifiers in full flow
Taking place across Seoul, North America and Asia, this year's Overwatch League is at the Spring Stage with qualifying for the event set to finish this Sunday.
Qualifying for the S-Tier event features a total of 19 teams split across two divisions - the East Standings which feature six teams and the West Standings which feature 13 teams.
In the East Standings, all six teams competing will progress to the Spring Stage Knockouts, while in the West Standings, it will be the top ten teams advancing with the bottom three missing out.
The top two teams in the West Standings will also book their spot at the Overwatch League Midseason Madness global event, which takes place in Goyang in South Korea in June.
The focus for now, though, is the Spring Stage qualifiers and there are four matches taking place on Friday night.
The action begins with a clash between London Spitfire, who have a 1-5 win-loss record and Los Angeles Gladiators, who have already qualified for the Spring Stage.
Spitfire are 13/2 outsiders to win with the Gladiators priced at 1/14.
Vegas Eternal, meanwhile, take on Atlanta Reign, while Washington Justice clash with New York Excelsior.
In the final match of the day in the Overwatch League, high-flyers Houston Outlaws are 4/9 to beat Florida Mayhem, who also have a 5-1 win-loss record and are 13/8 to prevail, in what should be a tightly-fought affair.
Saturday
Call of Duty League : More knockout action in Major Five
On Saturday, the action continues to come thick and fast in the Call of Duty League Major Five as the second round of the winners' bracket commences.
The victors of OpTic Texas v Florida Mutineers will face the winners of Boston Breach v Minnesota ROKK in the first match.
In the second winners' bracket semi-final, the winners of Atlanta FaZe v Las Vegas Legion will take on the winners of Toronto Ultra v New York Subliners.
Sunday
Call of Duty League: Final Major champion to be crowned
On Sunday, the champions of the fifth and final Call of Duty League Major of 2023 will be crowned, putting the team in the driving seat ahead of the Call of Duty League Championship.
The champions will scoop $200,000 in prize money and earn a precious 65 CDL points ahead of the Championship.
