The LEC Summer may be on hiatus until the start of its group stage next week but the rest of the League of Legends major divisions across the globe continue with their summer seasons in another jam-packed week of Esports.
Dota 2: Bali Major playoffs get underway
Away from League of Legends, it is a key week in the world of Dota 2 with the Bali Major 2023 continuing on Wednesday with the event's play-offs.
Taking place at the Ayana Estate in Bali, the Major has a prize pool of $500,000 and is the first DPC Major to take place in Indonesia.
The event began with a group stage with the 18 teams competing split into two sections of nine teams and the top six in each group advancing to the play-offs, the top four of which progressed directly to the upper bracket.
Team Liquid were the standout team in Group A, while in Group B Quest Esports rose to the occasion to top the standings.
The playoffs at the Dota 2 Bali Major are in a double-elimination format, giving teams in the upper bracket two bites at the cherry.
League of Legends: Triple header in LPL Summer
China's LPL Summer continues at a furious pace this week and on Thursday there are another three matches to enjoy.
Bilibili Gaming and JD Gaming, the top two in the regular season, have already booked their spot in the LPL Summer play-offs but LNG Esports are not far behind them.
League of Legends: Five LCS Summer matches on the cards
North America's finest are also back in action in the LCS Summer this week and there are five matches set to be packed in on Friday.
The first of those features a rejuvenated FlyQuest team, who won all three of their matches in week three, against Dignitas in what will be their third LCS Summer match of the week.
The teams are of course in action a couple of times before Friday but as it stands FlyQuest are 4/9 to defeat 13/8 Dignitas, while among the other matches there is an intriguing encounter between Team Liquid and 100 Thieves, who are both 5/6 to prevail.
League of Legends: Highflyers T1 and Gen.G clash in LCK Summer
South Korea's LCK Summer is also in action every day from Wednesday this week with a double-header on Saturday as T1 face Gen.G and Nongshim RedForce battle Liiv SANDBOX.
CS:GO: 9z and Virtus.pro lock horns in FiReLEAGUE Battle Showmatch
Both 9z and Virtus.pro have been invited to the Counter Strike: Global Offensive FirReLEAGUE Global Finals at the end of this year but will first compete in a one-off Battle Showmatch this Saturday for $150,000.
Dota 2: Time for Bali champion to be crowned
On Sunday, this week's Dota 2 Bali Major reaches its conclusion with the Grand Final.
The overall winners of the first Major in Indonesia will receive $200,000 in prize money as well as 600 Dota Pro Circuit points.
The Grand Final is played in a best-of-five format and the event will be the third and last Major of the 2023 Dota Pro Circuit season.
