BLAST Premier: Fall Groups 2024: Prediction, Tips and Odds

The next stage of the CS2 season is about to get underway with the BLAST Premier Fall Groups set to start in Copenhagen on Monday.

The S-Tier event features the 16 of the best CS2 teams across the globe competing in double-elimination format groups.

The winning team in each group will claim $22,500 in prize money but more importantly book their place in the BLAST Premier Fall Finals later this year.

The remaining teams will then progress to the play-in stage in which two more sides will punch their ticket to the finals, while the remaining sides will have to drop down into the BLAST Premier Fall Showdown.

It is among the biggest events on the Esports calendar with iconic teams such as FaZe Clan, Team Vitality and G2 Esports all involved.

Team Vitality to win Group B - 5/6

With Team Spirit 4/9 to get the job done, the Group A betting is not particularly interesting and punters should instead go in with a bet on Team Vitality to win Group B at 5/6.

With the likes of "apEX" and "ZywOo" on their roster, Team Vitality remain one of the most fearsome CS2 teams in the world and they should have few issues navigating a section made up of Astralis, Falcons and minnows GamerLegion.

Only last month Vitality secured a 3rd-4th berth in the BLAST Premier Spring Finals, while they were also runners-up in the IEM Dallas and season 19 of the ESL Pro League.

A major tournament win eludes them in 2024 but they are always right up there and should have few issues in the BLAST Premier Fall Groups.

G2 Esports to win Group C - 13/8

Group C looks especially competitive with FaZe Clan and G2 Esports expected to battle it out for supremacy.

There is not a lot between the sides, who are separated by just one place in the HLTV world CS2 rankings but it is G2 Esports who represent the value at 13/8.

They failed to come out on top in the recent BLAST Premier Spring Final but a runners-up spot in the Esports World Cup earlier this month and an IEM Dallas title triumph in early June shows they are still a force in CS2.

As for FaZe Clan, they have failed to make an impression in any event since they won the IEM Chengdu back in April, and they have struggled against bigger sides recently, losing to Natus Vincere twice in their last four matches along with a 2-1 defeat to Team Vitality.

Complexity to finish higher than HEROIC - 4/5

Group A may not be competitive when it comes to betting on the winner but it could be worth backing Complexity to finish higher than HEROIC.

Neither of these sides are in excellent form but Complexity at least won an ESL Challenger event in Jonkoping back in June, while their 3rd-4th finish in the last season of the ESL Pro League was impressive.

In the latter event, they defeated HEROIC 2-1 and it would likely only require a win over the Norwegian side again to secure a higher finish in this section.

HEROIC were unimpressive in each of the IEM Dallas and YaLLa Compass 2024 and are unlikely to cause many problems.
