England World Cup squad odds

With Thomas Tuchel having concluded his opening two games as England manager, we've looked at who may make his 2026 World Cup squad.

bet365's Sports and Trading expert Steve Freeth said: "Jordan Henderson’s inclusion was a surprise to many and we make him a 5/2 chance to be on the plane to North America next summer.

"Tuchel’s comments suggests he thinks there is a lack of leadership around the camp, but Henderson will be touching 35 next summer in what will be energy-sapping conditions. However, the former Liverpool skipper might be required for what he offers off the pitch as well as on it.

"It was a whirlwind week or so for Dan Burn, but putting the fairy-tale to one side, has he really got the quality to make it into Tuchel’s plans next summer? His left foot, leadership and aerial ability in both boxes are big assets, plus can the likes of John Stones be trusted to stay fit?

"He was chosen ahead of Marc Guehi in Tuchel's first game against Albania, but the Crystal Palace defender would return to the XI against Latvia. At 11/4, we’re not totally convinced just yet that Burn will make the cut next summer.

"There were a few raised eyebrows in North London at one player who didn't make the squad when Djed Spence was left out, but punters have been backing him to be in the German’s plans by the time the 2026 World Cup comes along.

"The in-form Spurs full back has been punted from 16/1 into 8/1 and now into 5/1 after an impressive few months at Spurs where he’s played on both sides.

"He does though look to be behind a number in the pecking order at this current time.

"People will have differing opinions as to whether Ben White should return to the fold, but the door seems to be open for him and punters think he'll be heading to North America next summer."
