Crystal Palace attacking midfielder Eberechi Eze is 7/1 to score the first goal for England in their international friendly against Bosnia-Herzegovina this evening.

The 25-year-old registered 11 goals and four assists during the 2023/24 Premier League season as an Eagles outfit, revitalised under the stewardship of Oliver Glasner, ended the campaign as one of the most in-form teams in the top flight.

Eze is set to start at St James' Park this evening in the absence of the likes of Anthony Gordon and Bukayo Saka, and he will be hoping to catch the eye of manager Gareth Southgate, who has the unenviable task of reducing his Euro 2024 squad from 33 players to 26 next week.

Whilst England are blessed with an abundance of options in the final third, Southgate has made it clear that he is yet to decide on who will be cut from his squad, as he plots a way to ending England's long-wait for a second international trophy this summer.

Tonight's game will see Kieran Trippier captain England on his home ground, with the Newcastle defender set to be a key player for England this summer due to Luke Shaw's lack of recent game time.

He is set to play at left-back, with Lewis Dunk and Marc Guehi likely to deputise for John Stones and Harry Maguire, who are still building up their fitness ahead of the Euros.

Harry Kane also won't start for England at St James' Park, meaning that Ollie Watkins or Ivan Toney will get the nod up front.
