England Midfielders Euros Odds: Jack Grealish, Marcus Rashford & Jarrod Bowen facing battle

We examine what is a stacked array of English midfielders who will be eager to book their place in Gareth Southgate's international squad for this summer's Euros.

England Euros Squad Odds

Central midfield

  • Declan Rice - 1/50
  • Kobbie Mainoo - 1/4
  • Conor Gallagher - 1/3
  • Jordan Henderson - 1/2
  • Kalvin Phillips - 7/2
  • Curtis Jones - 5/1
  • James Ward-Prowse - 11/2
  • Ruben Loftus-Cheek - 18/1
  • Ross Barkley - 20/1

As one of England's most indispensable players, it's no surprise to see Declan Rice as short as 1/50 to be on the plane to Germany, with the Arsenal midfielder a nailed on pick in Southgate's engine room.

Manchester United prodigy Kobbie Mainoo (1/4), Chelsea's Conor Gallagher (1/3) and Ajax's Jordan Henderson (1/2) are also odds-on, with the competition to partner Rice at the heart of England's midfield at the Euros heating up.

A regular fixture of England squads in recent years, having notably starred in the Three Lions' Euro 2020 campaign, Kalvin Phillips' odds to make this summer's Euros are out to 7/2 with the Yorkshireman having struggled for form since joining West Ham on loan from Manchester City in January.

Liverpool's Curtis Jones (5/1) and West Ham's James Ward-Prowse (11/2) could make a late dash to make the squad with a strong end to the Premier League season, whilst Ruben Loftus-Cheek (18/1) and Ross Barkley (20/1) represent interesting left-field picks following impressive seasons at Milan and Luton respectively.

Attacking midfield

  • Bukayo Saka - 1/33
  • Phil Foden - 1/25
  • Cole Palmer - 2/7
  • James Maddison - 4/9
  • Marcus Rashford - 1/2
  • Jack Grealish - 8/11
  • Jarrod Bowen - 4/5
  • Anthony Gordon - 5/4
  • Eberechi Eze - 7/2
  • Mason Mount - 9/1
  • Raheem Sterling - 12/1
  • Jadon Sancho - 12/1
  • Harvey Elliott - 16/1

With England boss Southgate boasting an embarrassment of riches to select from in attacking midfield positions, a number of big names face a battle to make the cut within the Three Lions' final 23-man squad for the Euros.

Arsenal's Bukayo Saka (1/33), Man City's Phil Foden (1/25), Chelsea's Cole Palmer (2/7) and Spurs' James Maddison (4/9) look most assured of a place in the squad after starring for their respective clubs this campaign.

However, household names and England regulars Marcus Rashford (1/2) and Jack Grealish's (8/11) participation in Germany currently looks at risk, with just 10 Premier League goals between them this term.

Despite far more productive individual campaigns, West Ham's Jarrod Bowen (4/5) and Anthony Gordon (5/4) are two other supremely talented figures who face a fight on their hands to make it to the Euros amidst stiff competition.

Crystal Palace's Eberechi Eze (7/2) and Man Utd's Mason Mount (9/1) are two players with the ability to turn Southgate's head if able to shine from now until the end of the campaign, but it appears a big ask for former squad regulars Raheem Sterling (12/1) and Jadon Sancho (12/1) to make a return to the fold at this stage.
