Jack Grealish, Harry Maguire and Jarrad Branthwaite are amongst the seven players who have been left out of England manager Gareth Southgate's final 26-player squad for Euro 2024.
Three Lions boss Southgate named a provisional 33-player selection for the Euros on 21st May, and has now been forced to cut seven players ahead of UEFA's deadline to submit a final 26-player pool on Friday 7th June.
63-times capped Harry Maguire is a high-profile figure to miss out having been a regular for Southgate in England's three previous major tournaments, with the Manchester United defender unable to shake off a calf injury.
A Premier League title winner with Manchester City, Jack Grealish is also a shock omission, with the former Aston Villa attacking midfielder perhaps paying the price for a poor individual campaign for Pep Guardiola's Citizens - scoring just three Premier League goals in 2023/24.
Everton's Jarrad Branthwaite is another player who will be left at home this summer, with the aerially dominant central defender having enjoyed a breakout season for the Toffees under Sean Dyche in England's top flight.
The other four players reportedly cut from Southgate's final 26-player squad are Burnley goalkeeper James Trafford, Tottenham playmaker James Maddison and Liverpool duo Jarell Quansah and Curtis Jones.
