Elena Rybakina cruised to her third title of 2024 as she thrashed Marta Kostyuk 6-2 6-2 to win the Stuttgart Open in some style.
It has been a hugely impressive year so far for the world number four, who has also won the Brisbane International and Abu Dhabi Open, as well as reaching finals in Doha and Miami.
Arguably, the biggest and most encouraging win of the year so far came in the Stuttgart Open semi-final when the 2022 Wimbledon champion beat world number one Iga Swiatek and ended her 10-match winning streak at the event in the process.
To beat the Pole on clay is widely regarded as one of the toughest achievement in women's tennis, so Rybakina will take great confidence from that victory as she continues to prepare for next month's French Open.
