The 2025/26 season will see Southampton, Leicester City and Ipswich Town return to the Championship and they will be accompanied by the three newly promoted teams of Birmingham City, Wrexham and Charlton Athletic.

The EFL's 'Fixture Release Day' will reveal the schedule for every club in the Championship, League One and League Two.

The 2025/26 Championship season will commence on Friday 8th August 2025 and conclude on the weekend of 2nd/3rd May 2026.

The 2025/26 Championship play-off final is pencilled in for Saturday 23rd May 2026.

The 2025/26 League One campaign gets underway a week prior to the Championship on the weekend of Friday 1st August to Sunday 3rd August 2025.

The League One regular season concludes on the weekend of 2nd/3rd May 2026, with the League One play-off final scheduled for Sunday 24th May 2026.

When does the 2025/26 League Two season start and finish?

The 2025/26 League Two season kicks off on the same weekend as League One with the opening matches set to take place across Friday 1st August to Sunday 3rd August 2025.

With the 46-match campaign ending on the weekend of 2nd/3rd May 2026, the League Two play-off final will take place on Monday 25th May 2026.
