EFL Championship: List of winners

Following the introduction of the Premier League in 1992, the Second Division was relabelled as the new First Division.

In 2004 it was rebranded once more as the Championship, of which the name has been retained ever since.

Leicester City have won the most league titles in the history of English football's second tier, having been crowned champions on eight different occasions, and they're one of the Championship's most successful teams since the league's introduction two decades ago.

We've detailed the full list of every champion in the English Football League's second tier since 2004.
