Peru are still targeting their first victory in the qualifying campaign for the 2026 World Cup and they will be looking for a morale-boosting win away at Ecuador.
A late equaliser from Liverpool winger Luis Diaz denied Peru victory on Friday as they were forced to settle for a 1-1 draw against Colombia. Its a result which means Peru have accumulated just three points from their opening seven qualifiers.
Ecuador were beaten 1-0 away in Brazil last time out but a win against Peru would keep them in the top six ahead of the next international period.
