The battle for the prize money of $50,000 continues with three matches in Dota 2 at the BETBoom Xmas Show on the final day of action in the Group Stage.
This event has already had plenty of important match-ups played thus far. The top two teams in each Group will advance to the playoffs that start in the coming days.
Nemiga Gaming has already taken the top spot in Group A winning their first three matches. Team Spirit was able to easily win Group B as they won each of their four matches. Nemiga looks to score their four win as they take on ynt, to kick-off Thursday's action.
The day also features matches involving PuckChamp, One Move, Hellraisers and Rise Esports. The action is heating up with the final day of Group play.
Here is a look at each of the matches at BETBOOM Xmas Show in DOTA 2.
What: Nemiga Gaming v YNT, Dota 2 Xmas Show
Where: Europe
When: 10.00, Thursday 22nd December 2022
Odds: Nemiga 1/5, YNT 10/3
The fight to get to 4-0 is on for Nemiga Gaming as they look to qualify for the playoffs of this event. They have already won their three previous matches.
They did so by beating RISE Esports 2-0 and HellRaisers 2-0. Those wins came after they needed three maps to get past Monaspa. That team has already lost any chance of reaching the playoffs with a 1-3 record.
As for YNT, they have a great opportunity to get a second win and finish in third place in Group A.
A win is going to be hard to get as they have lost two of their last three matches without winning a map. Even though they had two-bad matches they might have gotten some confidence with a 2-0-win RISE Esports in their last match.
Nemiga has won all but one map against YNT in a head-to-head setting. They haven't played a best of three match since April against each other, and that match ended in a 2-1 victory for Nemiga.
Nemiga has been a top-four or better team in their last five events. Their line-up has played together a lot since joining the organization back in May.
This match favours Nemiga and they have a chance to win their fourth match of the group stage and could win it all at this event.
What: PuckChamp v One Move, Dota 2 Xmas Show
Where: Europe
When: 13.00 Thursday 22nd December 2022
There isn't much on the line in the final Group B match of this event, as PuckChamp and One Move face-off.
In what is a first-time meeting for the two organizations, bragging rights are on the line as neither team has been able to reach the top two spots in the group.
PuckChamp will try to knock One Move out of the second qualifying spot, as both teams enter this match at 2-1 and tied for the playoff spot. OneMove's lone loss thus far was a 2-0 shutout by Team Spirit who won Group B at 4-0.
PuckChamp also lost to that same Spirit team, but did so in a much more competitive way, as they forced the match to a third map losing 2-1.
PuckChamp might very well need three maps to try to outlast One Move. OneMove is 4-3 in seven maps played, while PuckChamp is 5-2 on maps in their three matches.
This match-up is all about which team gets a better start and that trend lies with One Move, even if they struggle to stay consistent, they are still the better choice here.

What: HellRaisers v RISE Esports, Dota 2 Xmas Show
Where: Europe
When: 16:00, Thursday 22nd December 2022
Odds: HellRaisers 1/6, RISE 7/2
A playoff berth is up for grabs in Group A as HellRaisers and RISE Esports square-off. Neither team has made pretty work thus far with HellRaisers having a better record right now at 2-1.
As for RISE they will need a lot to go right if they want to wreck the final event in Dota 2 of 2022 for HellRaisers who have proven to be one of the better organizations in this game.
RISE is coming off a 2-0 loss against YNT who they currently hold a tiebreaker over in a three-way tie. This match doesn't just have playoff importance, but it also could determine which team has a higher placing outside of the top four.
Placing is an important key for both teams as they hope to build confidence heading into the 2023 season. RISE was a late replacement team in the field and if they can somehow end HellRaisers playoff opportunity then that is saying something.
HellRaisers has won five straight Major events in Dota 2, not to mention they are the top ranked team at this whole event.
RISE will put up a fight, but not taking the overall favourite HellRaisers would be silly.
