Championship pair Derby County and Millwall are reportedly eyeing up late moves for Ipswich Town star Anis Mehmeti.
The creative midfielder appears to be on his way out of Portman Road before the end of the transfer window with both Derby and Millwall making enquiries.
According to Alan Nixon, the pair have joined Wrexham in the race for the signature of the 25-year-old who was left out of Town's Premier League opener with Sunderland at the weekend.
Former Bristol City ace Mehmeti only joined Ipswich in January but has fallen way down the pecking order after the club undertook a huge summer rebuild ahead of their top-flight return.
The Albanian recorded two goals and two assists in his opening five Championship games for Town at the start of the year, and whilst his output dried up over the remainder of the season he remained a key cog in Kieran McKenna's wheel.
However, with Gary O'Neill taking over the reins this summer and enhancing his attacking options with the captures of Julio Enciso and Daizen Maeda, it's left Mehmeti facing a likely lack of game time.
Derby and Millwall are both hoping to add fresh goalscoring talent to their squads before the end of the month with Rams boss John Eustace in desperate need of fresh legs after seeing his side pick up just a solitary point from their two league outings to date.
Millwall meanwhile have enjoyed a perfect start to the season, following up their opening day triumph at Bristol City with a resounding 3-0 home win against Norwich City.
