Melbourne have secured the future of their premiership winning coach Simon Goodwin who has penned a new two-year contract extension with the Demons.
Melbourne are priced at 15/8 to win the 2022 AFL grand final and now have Goodwin locked in as they look to build on last season’s success.
Goodwin’s new deal will take him through until the end of the 2024 AFL campaign and he is looking forward to seeing what the next couple of years can bring.
"I'm very excited to be a part of this footy club and very honoured as well," Goodwin said after the deal was announced.

"It's a great privilege to be able to commit for another couple of years and be a part of this playing group and this footy department is very exciting.
"We've spent a lot of time building this footy club and this program and now's the time to really try to maximise and have a really good few years. I'm really looking forward to that."
The Demons have got the season off to a flyer after winning the opening seven games of the 2022 campaign and there is a strong belief within the club that another flag is on the way.
Club CEO Gary Pert has saluted the new deal and is in no doubt that Goodwin is the man to lead the club to more success.
"We are in a really exciting window for our football club and Simon is absolutely the man we want leading our team.
"Simon is a passionate leader and educator, who lives and breathes the club’s values.”
