We analyse the statistics and credentials of David Adeleye and Jeamie TKV as the British heavyweight rivals get set to collide at the Co-op, Manchester on Saturday 5th April, 2025.
As the current era of heavyweight boxing draws to a close, rising prospects jostle for position to ensure they are next in line.
On 5th April, David Adeleye and Jeamie TKV will battle it out in an attempt to gain a foothold in the thriving land of the big men.
Adeleye is the heavy favourite after securing a career-best win over Soloman Dacres, last time out. However, he was found wanting when he challenged Fabio Wardley, in 2023. Adeleye will be determined to prove that was simply an off night.
TKV has also tasted defeat early in his career, but has bounced back well, too. If his winning run is to continue, Ben Davison will have to formulate the perfect gameplan.
Who will prevail?
Let’s have a look at the 'Tale of the Tape'…

As Tyson Fury, Anthony Joshua, Dillian Whyte and Derek Chisora all enter the twilight of their respective careers, David Adeleye is determined to establish himself as the best of the new generation.
He attempted to do so when he challenged Fabio Wardley for the British and Commonwealth titles, in 2023, but was found wanting.
The hand speed of Wardley was, ultimately the deciding factor, as he was too sharp and accurate.
Rather than facing a soft touch in a confidence booster, Adeleye bounced back by stopping, undefeated prospect, Soloman Dacres in the opening round.
Now, ‘Big D’ once again finds himself facing a rising, young boxer.
Since partnering with Adam Booth, who guided David Haye to glory, there have been signs of improvement.
Adeleye’s power is his most potent weapon and one which could be the deciding factor here.
Strengths | Weaknesses |
Power | Low punch output |
Fast feet | Moves back in straight lines |
Jab | Lack of head movement |
Left hook | Susceptible to the overhand right |
Like David Adeleye, Jamie TKV has been willing to test himself early in his professional career, but as is the case with his rival, the ambition has not always paid off.
In 2023, the Tottenham heavyweight battled Igor Adiel Macedo. The Brazilian had previously given, contender, Sergey Kuzmin a decent fight and he represented a significant step up in class for the Englishman.
Ultimately, it was a case of too much, too soon, as TKV was halted in the sixth round.
Defeat did not quash his appetite for challenging bouts, as he has rebounded with good wins over Franklin Ignatius and Michael Webster.
The 31-year-old has a nice flow to his work when he lets his hands go, and it looks impressive when it all comes off.
Despite a decent amateur career, TKV is a work in progress, but he has Ben Davison in his corner, who formulated the game plan for Fabio Wardley when he stopped Adeleye.
Sparring the likes of Wardley and Anthony Joshua regularly could give TKV the edge in a pick ‘em fight.
