Peter Wright and James Wade lock horns in the opening round of the World Grand Prix on Tuesday evening and our resident Darts expert Keith Deller MBE explains where he feels the betting value lies.
Peter Wright v James Wade
Tuesday 7th October (19:45)
This is such a tough one to call between two wily old professionals who know how to win on the big stage.
There's no doubt that both have dropped below their peak periods a few years back, but as they have proven in recent times, they are still able to mix with, and beat, the very best players in the game.
Peter endured a really challenging couple of years, but he has shown signs of improvement and looks as though he still as it in him to further improve, whilst James is what he says on the tin, a 'machine'.
He is solid, steady and just has a knack of being able to carve out victories on the TV stage - he's as tough as old boots, and will be fancying his chances this week, make no mistake about it.
I definitely see this match going the full three-set distance, and I am sticking my neck on the line here and edging with Wadey to get the job done by just holding his nerve better than Peter in those big moments.
I also like the near even-money price on the first leg to be taken with a two or three-dart combination too.
Both players will want to lay the marker down early doors, and I expect one of them to take out that finish of 41+ in the opening leg.
Odds will display when markets are live.
