Luke Littler v Chris Dobey: Free Tips, Prediction and Odds

Premier League favourite and reigning champion Luke Littler needs to step on the accelerator if he wants to keep pace with table-topping Luke Humphries.

Littler is second in the table after four rounds, seven points adrift of Humphries, though that gulf will seem like nothing to the prodigious teenager whose confidence is through the roof.

He arrives at the Brighton Centre for Night 5 of the Premier League just four days after landing major glory in Minehead at the UK Open.

Chris Dobey is the player with the dubious honour of trying to derail Littler, who boasted an average of 104.4 over six games en-route to glory at Butlin's last weekend.

Lead After (Legs) 4 - Luke Littler - 20/21

Luke Littler takes on Dobey in the second of four quarter-finals at the Brighton Centre on Night 5 of the 2025 Premier League.

Littler is second in the table on eight points, Chris Dobey is seventh on three points.

'The Nuke' has had five match wins over the first four weeks of the season, with a best on Night 2 when he went all the way in Glasgow to claim the nightly glory.

Dobey had two wins on Night 1 in Belfast, reaching the final where he lost to Humphries, but has lost his quarter-final match on each of the three subsequent Thursdays.

It is the first ever meeting between the players in this competition and everything points to Littler winning it well.

He is certainly priced to cruise home and after his feats at the weekend, he is a difficult man to doubt.

The reigning world champion looked in fabulous form at the UK Open in Minehead, showing plenty of bottle to win close-fought epics against Peter Wright (10-9) and Krzysztof Ratajski (10-8), while simultaneously turning on the style.

He capped a magnificent weekend by beating Jonny Clayton 11-6 and James Wade 11-2 on Sunday night to lift the trophy.

Now a winner of five premier PDC events - and still only 18 - he feels pretty much unbeatable and Dobey is going to have to produce stellar work just to stay with him.

'Hollywood' has the big scoring in his locker to do that - only Littler has better 180s-per-leg numbers in the tournament - but he's not producing consistently.

He was actually unlucky in Minehead, beating Stephen Bunting 10-4 before losing a decider 10-9 to Dimitri van den Bergh. He didn't, however, produce a higher average than 95.87; Littler's lowest average in his six outings was 97.99.

Wade reaching the final highlights the fact that good match players can beat better players even when the averages are miles apart - but over a best-of-11 format Dobey will need to be at it from the off and won't be able to let up.

The fact he has not won since Night 1 works against him and if Littler comes out of the blocks well, back him for a break in one of the first four legs and a couple of holds.

If he lands 2/7 match odds then he can surely land the 20/21 to be 3-1 or 4-0 up after four legs.

Luke Littler -1.5 180s Handicap - 11/10

Dobey's 180 hitting is well known - on the Pro Tour this year he has hit 65 in 18 matches, or one every 2.6 legs.

That is phenomenal maximum gathering and he can also do it on the big stage - he has only played six matches in the first four rounds of Premier League action but already has 24 180s to his name, which is more than Gerwyn Price, Michael van Gerwen and Nathan Aspinall, who have all played more legs.

Dobey is averaging a maximum every 2.4 legs, a record only one player can better - that player, inevitably, is Littler.

The Nuke has fired in 42 maximums at one every 1.8 legs, a crazily high return which can see him land 180 handicap glory where the favourite is 11/10 to cover a 1.5 maximums spread.
