Luke Humphries v Luke Littler: Free Tips, Prediction and Odds

Night 6 of the Premier League takes the eight players to the Motorpoint Arena in Nottingham where the clash between Luke Humphries and Luke Littler is the pick of the quarter-finals.

Humphries is top on 15 points, Littler breathing down his neck on 13, and the top two in the world are now pulling clear of the field.

Match Double - Littler win/Littler most 180s - 13/10

On Night 2 in Glasgow it was Luke Littler who beat Luke Humphries 6-5 in the final. Two weeks later Cool Hand returned the favour running out a 6-4 winner in Exeter, also in a final.

Now they meet for the third time in the 2025 Premier League at the Motorpoint Arena in Nottingham.

Littler comes into their quarter-final clash riding the crest of a wave after winning the UK Open two weekends ago and the Belgian Darts Open on Sunday.

It wasn't just the fact that he collected two big titles in the space of eight days but it was the manner in which he did so, looking nigh-on unbeatable in both.

He tops the Premier League averages - he is averaging a staggering 103.89 after five weeks, the only player in three figures - and when he clicks he's the best there is.

The world rankings would say Humphries is top dog and he is also having a good start to the new year.

Like Littler he has won two of the five Premier League mini-leagues played so far and The Masters. He also reached the last eight at the UK Open.

His form is definitely more up-and-down than Littler, as evidenced at Players Championship 5 on Tuesday.

Humphries produced big averages to see off Stefaan Henderyck and Chris Landman but then a sub-89 in defeat to Joe Cullen in round three.

On the same day Littler reached the semis having executed an absurd 6-1 defeat of Damon Heta, a match in which the Warrington thrower averaged a barely imaginable 122.96. He was sat on 64 after 12 losing the first leg and then reeled off winning legs in 12, 12, 11, 13, 13 and 11 darts.

Those are the levels Littler reaches and others can't and it's why he is odds-on to beat his one, comparable rival in Humphries.

The fact is, if The Nuke does win he should also win the 180s race as well. He is hitting a maximum every 1.96 legs in the Premier League, Humphries one every 2.92 legs.

Luke Humphries 3-Dart Match Average - Less than 100.5 - 8/11

That 89-plus average against Joe Cullen in PC5 shows that Cool Hand is definitely more prone to an off-game than Littler at the moment.

The same happened on Saturday in his first game at the Belgian Darts Open in which he averaged 92 and change in a 6-4 loss to Mike De Decker.

And that, in turn, came two nights after a first-hurdle fall at the hands of Rob Cross in Premier League Night 5 in Brighton, a 6-4 reverse in which Humphries averaged 98.60 - despite hitting a nine-darter.

The best players bring out the best in each other but it's still worth backing enough off darts in Humphries' game to suggest he won't break a three-dart average of 100.5.
