The 2024 European Darts Open is the eighth of 13 events on the PDC's European Tour and will see Gerwyn Price looking to defend his title in Leverkusen, Germany.

The European Darts Open is staged from Friday 21st June to Sunday 23rd June at the Ostermann-Arena in Leverkusen in Germany. There is an afternoon session on each of the three days starting at midday and an evening session which starts at 18:00.
This will be the 11th running of the European Darts Open which was first contested in 2012 when Raymond van Barneveld beat Dave Chisnall 6-4 in the final.
The first five editions of the European Darts Open were held in Dusseldorf with the tournament moving to Leverkusen in 2017. It wasn't held at all in 2020 and 2021.
The most successful player at the European Darts Open is Michael van Gerwen who has won the title five times. Peter Wright has won it twice, Robert Thornton won it in 2015 and Gerwyn Price took the spoils last year, beating Dirk van Duijvenbode 8-7 in a thrilling final.

World champion and world No.1 Luke Humphries is the top seed in Leverkusen for the European Darts Open and is the favourite to win it for the first time.
Reigning champion Gerwyn Price will have backers too, as will five-time winner Michael van Gerwen.
Josh Rock, the winner of the most recent European Tour event, the Dutch Darts Championship at the end of May, will be fancied by those looking for an outsider, and anybody looking for a home favourite would do worse than backing Martin Schindler.
