Dutch Darts Masters: Prediction, Tips and Odds

The second of seven qualifying events for the World Series of Darts sees a world-class field gather in Den Bosch for the third running of the Dutch Darts Masters.

Newly-crowned world champion Luke Littler, world number one Luke Humphries and Dutch icons Michael van Gerwen and Raymond van Barneveld are among the big names in an all-star 16-man line-up towing the oche at the Maaspoort Den Bosch.

Eight players from Belgium and the Netherlands take on eight of the PDC's elite in round one on Friday with the tournament played to a conclusion on Saturday night.

Gerwyn Price to win outright - 8/1

It doesn't seem long ago when the dust was settling at Alexandra Palace at the end of an unforgettable World Championship which saw Littler lift the trophy for the first time.

Three weeks on, though, and there is no rest for the very best, who have already been out to the Gulf for the Bahrain Darts Masters, are back in Europe this weekend for the Dutch Darts Masters while the start of the Premier League is just around the corner.

Last week in Bahrain, the first World Series event of 2025, gave us plenty of pointers for what to expect this weekend.

Stephen Bunting, who threw well at the Palace where he reached the semi-finals, went on to take the title, whitewashing Chris Dobey, pipping Luke Humphries and then beating Gerwyn Price 8-4 in the final.

Bunting gets an 8/1 quote to go back-to-back in Den Bosch and cannot be ruled out given the form he is in.

Heading the betting, however, inevitably is Littler at 7/4 and Humphries at 10/3 followed by Michael van Gerwen at 6/1.

The case for the Dutchman is that he defied the odds to reach the final at Ally Pally though against him is that he didn't go to Bahrain so could be rusty.

Humphries looked sharp in the desert, so too Littler who chucked a 105 average in his second-round game against Price - but still lost.

And Price's form in the Middle East certainly looked eye-catching and for a man who had a 2024 to forget, the Iceman has started this year very well.

He made the quarter-finals at Ally Pally and he looked in sparkling form in Bahrain, chucking in a 112 average to dispose of The Nuke.

He also took out Peter Wright before running out of steam against Bunting in the final. He looks competitive again, hungry again, and when Price has fire in his eyes he is a major, major threat and certainly looks a decent bet at 8/1.

Stephen Bunting to win outright (each-way) - 8/1

The beauty of the Dutch Darts Masters is that round one is packed with massive matches.

Littler, for example, has been drawn against Dimitri van den Bergh, Humphries plays Jermaine Wattimena and MVG could be involved in a thriller against Dirk van Duijvenbode.

Price himself has to take care of Danny Noppert to progress in the bottom half.

In the top half Littler and Van Gerwen are seeded to meet in the quarter-finals which offers the in-form Bunting a golden opportunity to forge his way through the top section of the top half.

Bunting is drawn against Gian van Veen in his opener and the latter, with the crowd on his side, is a threat to anyone.

However, Bunting - one of only four men to throw multiple ton-plus averages at Ally Pally and irresistible in Bahrain - gets the nod to take care of the current world youth champion.

Bunting would next meet either Dobey or Van Barneveld (and with all respect to the legendary Barney, that will probably be Dobey) and if that goes to plan for the Bullet then he's in the semis once again.
