Dalton Smith vs Alberto Puello - Fight week schedule including press conference, weigh-in & fight night details

Sheffield's Dalton Smith will put his recently captured WBC super-lightweight world title on the line for the first time on Saturday in a high-stakes showdown with the dangerous Alberto Puello.

Smith, who has yet to be beaten as a professional, captured the coveted green and gold belt in January after producing a career-best performance to dethrone former 140lbs ruler Subriel Matias on away soil in New York.

Now, the Briton will look to make a successful maiden defence of it when he locks horns with Puello at Sheffield's Utilita Arena on Saturday night.

Thursday 22nd October - Press conference

The media will get one final opportunity to put their questions to the world champion and title challenger at Thursday's press conference.

The event is scheduled to get underway from 13:30 (BST) with only accredited media being granted the opportunity to put questions to the fighters and promoters.

The press conference, which will be live-streamed on the official YouTube channels of Matchroom Boxing and DAZN, is being held inside the Victoria Hall in Sheffield, with fight fans able to gain entry from 12:30 (BST).

Friday 23rd October - Weigh-ins

The ceremonial weigh-in on Friday will allow fans and media to get one last look at the two men before they make their way to the ring the following evening.

Whilst the official weigh-in will take place earlier in the day, behind closed doors, Dalton Smith and Alberto Puello, together with all other fighters on the bill, will then undertake a ceremonial weigh-in which is due to be streamed live on YouTube at 18:00 (BST).

Members of the public are invited to attend the event, with doors opening at the Victoria Hall from 17:30 (BST).

Saturday 24th October - Fight night

All the fight week festivities come down to Saturday night when Dalton Smith will put his prized world title on the line for the first time in front of an expected raucous home crowd in Sheffield.

While the exact start time for the headline fight at the Utilita Arena will be dependent on the length of the undercard bouts, ring walks for Dalton Smith vs Alberto Puello are expected to commence from around 22:00 (BST).
