What: | paiN Gaming vs. MASONIC, FiReLEAGUE Global Finals |
Where: | Spain |
When: | 11:00, Friday 14th October 2022 |
How to watch: | CS:GO YouTube Channel / Twitch |
Odds: | paIN 4/9, MASONIC 13/8 |
The opening match of FiReLeague 2022 Global Finals pits paiN Gaming against MASONIC. These teams are meeting for the first time. MASONIC looks to carry the banner for Denmark in this match. They will have to get past a well-respected Brazilian organization to reach the semi-final round.
MASONIC has won two of its last three matches. As for paiN they have come up short in two of their last three matches. Both teams have a capable leader. That stand out player for paiN is skullz who averages 0.73 kills per round. MASONIC's J3nsyy has a slightly higher average of kills per round with his numbers coming in at 0.75 kills per round.
Success has been high for paiN as they have won five straight mid-major events in a row. That includes their most recent win at ESL Challenger DreamHack Melbourne 2022. They couldn't quite complete the same success as they tried to fight for a spot on the road to IEM Road to Rio 2022. They will need a strong effort from the whole squad to get a win and advance.
MASONIC did a great job reaching this point, but they lack the firepower across their line-up to hang with paiN. The edge goes to 4/9 paiN.
What: | Imperial vs. Isurus, FiReLEAGUE Global Finals |
Where: | Spain |
When: | 14:00, Friday 14th October 2022 |
How to watch: | CS:GO YouTube Channel / Twitch |
Odds: | Imperial 1/8, Isurus 9/2 |
A couple of South America's many CS:GO organizations square-off in a quarter-final match at FiReLEAGUE 2022 Global Finals. Brazil's Imperial looks to keep climbing the world rankings as they face Argentina's Isurus.
Isurus hasn't had much luck in recent head-to-head battles with Imperial as the Brazilian team has won each of the three maps they have played. The teams met at the 2020 edition of this event, and Imperial was able to win Inferno 19-16 and then blew past Isurus on Mirage 16-5.
Imperial was able to finish runner-up at ESL Challenger at DreamHack Melbourne 2022. That was just their fourth event they played in during the 2022 season. They did have a decent showing at PGL Major Antwerp where they finished in the 9-11th place.
Isurus hasn't had much success at this level as they haven't reached the Global Finals of FiReLEAGUE since 2020. They lost to BOOM Esports and finished 2nd overall. Given the success Imperial has had in a head-to-head setting, they are the right play in this match.
What: | Team Spirit vs. WINDINGO, FiReLEAGUE Global Finals |
Where: | Spain |
When: | 11:00, Saturday 15th October 2022 |
How to watch: | CS:GO YouTube Channel / Twitch |
Odds: | Spirit 1/100, WINDINGO 14/1 |
WINDINGO looks to shock the world as the upstart team heads for a clash with one of Europe's well-known teams. They face Team Spirit in a quarter-final match of the 2022 FiReLEAGUE Global Finals.
Spirit looks to build off their 3rd-4th place finish at PGL Major Antwerp 2022. They also finished in that spot at the IEM World Championship in 2021. Spirit comes into this event on a three-match winning streak. As for WINDINGO they stumble in on a four-match losing streak.
This is also one of the biggest matches the upstart team has faced in their short time of existence. They could easily be overpowered in this clash. Spirit is led by magixx who has a rating of 1.16 and averages 0.70 kills per round. Spirit will prove to be too much so back them for the victory.
What: | MIBR vs. 9z, FiReLEAGUE Global Finals |
Where: | Spain |
When: | 14:00, Saturday 15th October 2022 |
How to watch: | CS:GO YouTube Channel / Twitch |
Odds: | MIBR 8/11, 9z 1/1 |
The final quarter-final match for FiReLEAGUE Global Finals 2022 sees MIBR take on 9z. The Brazilian organization brings plenty of experience into this event. They have struggled in their last three matches though, losing three in a row.
9z lacks wins in head-to-heads against MIBR, as it is 4-1 in favour of the pride of Brazil. This is the fifth match these teams have played this year alone. MIBR finished 2nd at BLAST Premier Spring 2020 American Finals. HEN1 has been team leader for MIBR. As for 9z they have relied primarily on nqz as he has a rating of 1.26 and averages 0.77 kills per round.
Outside of HEN1 MIBR has a lot of fresh faces on their roster. Both of these teams find themselves ranked in the top 32 teams in the world in CS:GO. 9z has players that could make this match interesting. Yet they lack the experience in big time matches.
MIBR is the logical choice to get a win and advance in this clash.
