BOXXER has announced its festive fight-card as world-class fighting action returns to the Bournemouth International Arena in December.

Cruiserweight contender Chris Billam-Smith returns to his hometown of Bournemouth to headline BOXXER’s final fight card of the year on Saturday 17th December.

‘The Gentleman’ overcame Isaac Chamberlain in a destructive showing during the summer, and he will hope to replicate that performance against Armend Xhoxhaj as he bids to edge himself closer to a world title dust-up in 2023.

The packed card will also see an exciting all-British affair between the unbeaten super-light heavyweight Dan Azeez and Rocky Fielding, whose only professional defeats have come at the hands of Canelo Alvarez and Callum Smith.

Caroline Dubois is also pencilled in to feature on the south coast; the same scene as her sensational summer stoppage of Happy Daudi.

Meanwhile, Viddal Riley will hope to close out a breakthrough year with another highlight reel performance after his explosive stoppage victory over Ross McGuigan at Manchester’s AO Arena in November.

Announcing the event, which will be shown live on Sky Sports, BOXXER CEO and founder Ben Shalom said “We were blown away by the crowd in Bournemouth earlier this summer and it is great to be heading back there in December. 

“Chris Billam-Smith tore the roof of the place in his breath-taking win over Isaac Chamberlain. The noise was deafening and the atmosphere was absolutely electric.

"I'm expecting the fans to reach a whole new level as CBS bids to continue his march towards a world title shot in what will be a tough fight against Armend Xhoxhaj. 

“We have a real treat in store as ‘Super’ Dan Azeez takes on Rocky Fielding. Rocky is a world level fighter, a big name in the UK and the only defeats on his resume are against Canelo Alvarez and Callum Smith. 

“With Caroline Dubois and Viddal Riley in action too, this card is an early gift for British boxing fans.” 

Billam-Smith, who has notched up seven straight victories following his one and only defeat against Richard Riakporhe three years ago, added: “I can’t wait to get back to Bournemouth in front of the best atmosphere in the country. 

“Last time out was nothing short of incredible: the fight itself, the atmosphere, the occasion - this is the last step before the world title! “

I will put on a world class performance worthy of that chance and the phenomenal support.”
