Expectation was high following his £50m move from RB Leipzig but things haven't quite worked out for Christopher Nkunku at Stamford Bridge so far.

The Frenchman has missed nearly 40 games through injury and when fit he has failed to nail down a place in the Chelsea starting XI.

Manchester United currently head the market to secure Nkunku's signature this summer, with the Bayern Munich out to second favourites.

United look well stocked in Nkunku's position, however, and while there's talk of a swap deal with Alejandro Garnacho going the other way, the impending move of Jamie Gittens to West London may see Garnacho off Chelsea's shortlist.
