England Women to reach the final - 2/1

Australia Women are difficult to oppose given their dominance of the Women's T20 World Cup and they are 8/11 to lift the trophy in Dubai.

The Aussies have triumphed at six of the previous eight tournaments including the last three in 2018, 2020 and 2023, while England (2009) and the West Indies (2016) are the only other teams to have been crowned T20 champions.

Australia's squad is packed with quality, with legends Ellyse Perry, Alyssa Healy and Beth Mooney joined by emerging stars Phoebe Litchfield and Annabel Sutherland.

Their array of all-rounders, led by Ash Gardner, balances the side nicely but England beat the Aussies 2-1 in the T20 leg of last summer's Ashes series.

That tour dented the aura of invincibility surrounding Australia, especially as England also won the ODI series 2-1, and Heather Knight's side should be backed to reach the T20 World Cup final.

On paper, they have an easier task in the group stage as they face South Africa, the West Indies, Bangladesh and Scotland in Group B.

The Aussies are up against India, New Zealand, Pakistan and Sri Lanka in Group A and, if results go according to the betting, England would face India in the semi-finals.

That is likely to be a tight contest but England have shown greater intent with the bat in recent T20 series, including a 5-0 home rout of New Zealand in July.

Their spin attack of Sophie Ecclestone, the ICC's top-ranked bowler in T20 and ODI cricket, Charlie Dean and Sarah Glenn should cause serious problems in the UAE and a bold bid is expected from England.

Laura Wolvaardt to be top batter - each-way - 10/1

South Africa's Laura Wolvaardt was the leading runscorer in last year's Women's T20 World Cup, helping her side reach the final on home soil.

The opener scored 61 off 48 balls in the final defeat to Australia, taking her tally for the tournament to 230 runs in just six innings.

Since then she has taken over the T20 captaincy and appears to be relishing the responsibility, scoring 40 or more in nine of her 17 innings as skipper.

Wolvaardt made a maiden T20 century against Sri Lanka in March, two months after her cool unbeaten 58 had sealed a rare victory over the world champions in Canberra, and she looks a good each-way bet with four places on offer in the Top Batter market.

Alice Capsey to be England top batter - 3/1

England's batting unit features the vastly experienced trio of Knight, Nat Sciver-Brunt and Danni Wyatt but arguably their key player is brilliant youngster Alice Capsey.

The big occasion often brings out the best in the hard-hitting number three, who scored a match-winning 46 off 23 balls in last summer's Ashes T20 decider in front of a record crowd at Lord's.

She followed up with a half-century against Sri Lanka at Hove and is becoming increasingly consistent in T20 cricket, reaching 25 in seven of her last 11 innings.

In July, Capsey batted maturely for her unbeaten 67 against New Zealand at Canterbury, coming in after England had lost opener Maia Bouchier to the first ball of their run-chase.

She has the potential to dominate international bowling attacks and is worth backing to top England's runscoring chart, having top-scored with 40 in last week's warm-up defeat to Australia.
