London Spirit Women beat their capital rivals Oval Invincibles in Saturday's Eliminator and they now take on Welsh Fire in Sunday's final of The Hundred at Lord's.
Welsh Fire Women to have highest opening partnership - 10/11
Welsh Fire Women finished top of the table in The Hundred this summer, winning five of their seven completed matches including a six-wicket victory over London Spirit at Lord's.
The Fire will be hoping for a repeat performance when they face Heather Knight's Spirit in Sunday's final at the Home of Cricket.
A strong start is crucial in 100-ball matches and Welsh Fire pose a major threat with the new ball, which tends to cause problems at Lord's whatever the format.
In two matches against 2023 champions Southern Brave, the Fire reduced their opponents to 13-2 and 15-3 and they dismissed both Trent Rockets openers for first-ball ducks in a six-wicket win at Trent Bridge.
In their league fixture against the Spirit at Lord's, Fire seamer Beth Langston bowled Georgia Redmayne for four to leave the hosts 6-1 off 14 balls and their innings never quite recovered from that sluggish start.
The Fire are worth backing to post the highest opening partnership in the final as England batters Tammy Beaumont and Sophia Dunkley can rise to the big occasion.
Dunkley has had a lean run of scores recently but she cracked 69 not out off 47 balls in her first innings of the season against Manchester Originals.
And skipper Beaumont should be full of confidence after her brisk unbeaten 59 helped the Fire beat the Brave at the Rose Bowl on Wednesday, sealing top spot in the table.
Deepti Sharma London Spirit top batter - 13/2
India's Deepti Sharma was not needed with the bat in the Spirit's excellent run-chase at The Oval on Saturday as opener Redmayne (53 not out) and captain Knight (36 not out) steered them to a target of 114.
However, if the Fire strike early in the final then Sharma could have a key role to play and she looks a tempting price to top-score for the Londoners.
The all-rounder was player of the tournament at this year's Women's Premier League in India and she relishes pressure situations.
She has delivered with bat and ball for the Spirit this season, scoring 39 not out, 44, 30 not out, 46 not out and 37 not out in five innings in The Hundred.
The first of those knocks came in the defeat to the Fire at Lord's, where Sharma slammed 39 runs off 26 balls and was just pipped to top-batter honours by Danielle Gibson's 41.
Hayley Matthews to be the Match Hero - 13/2
Another overseas superstar to back in the final is Welsh Fire's West Indian all-rounder Hayley Matthews, who merits a bet in the Match Hero market.
She went wicketless against the Spirit at Lord's but still made a matchwinning impact with a stunning innings of 78 not out off 46 balls.
That knock, unsurprisingly, earned Matthews the Match Hero award and she also scooped the accolade in two of the Fire's last three league fixtures.
She took 3-16 as the Brave were bundled out for 84 in Cardiff and rocked the same opponents in Wednesday's return fixture, taking 4-14 and scoring an unbeaten 35.
In between those displays Matthews scored 35 and claimed 3-32 in a narrow defeat to Birmingham Phoenix and she could light up Lord's once again.
