Sussex Sharks and Lancashire Lightning have met only twice in the T20 Blast and Lancashire emerged victorious on both occasions.

They beat Sussex by 20 runs in a 2011 quarter-final at Hove and repeated the feat at the last-eight stage of the 2020 tournament, when Liam Livingstone took four wickets to help the visitors to a 45-run victory at the seaside venue.
