A strong Surrey outfit are once again expected to challenge hard for the T20 Blast title and they have made an excellent start in that endeavour.
An opening defeat at Somerset, seen as their biggest rivals in the South Group, has been followed by five wins from their next six matches ahead of Friday's all-London affair against Middlesex.
The visitors from Lord's have made the quarter-finals only twice since winning the competition in 2008 and will need to build on their nail-biting one-run win over Essex on Thursday, which was just their second win from their opening seven games.

Best Bet: Sam Curran top Surrey batter @ 9/2
Sam Curran is the man tasked with leading Surrey to a second T20 Blast title and the all-rounder will be happy with his side's early progress.
Curran has contributed with both bat and ball in the first few weeks of the campaign, and appears to have found a home at number four.
The 27-year-old has scored 34, 1, 32, 38 and 38 in his last five innings, three of which have come at The Oval, and Friday could be the day he builds on his strong starts.
Matthew Ireland explains:
It's not too long ago that Sam Curran was named the best player at a T20 World Cup and England's loss is certainly Surrey's gain. The all-rounder has taken on the captaincy in this format but it doesn't seem to be affecting his performances.
Middlesex have a poor Twenty20 record and they are again playing catch up in the race for a quarter-final berth.
Thursday's narrow home win over Essex has given them a glimmer of hope of making the top four in the South Group but Surrey, who are currently second in the section, will provide them with a much stiffer examination.
Sam Curran has been in fine touch with the bat and can again contribute for the hosts, who have really benefited for the arrival of New Zealand all-rounder Mitchell Santner, who has taken 10 wickets in five matches.
While Surrey may prove too strong, Santner's compatriot Kane Williamson should offer most resistance for Middlesex.
Williamson is an undisputed class act and has scored 14, 25, 31, 28, 23 not out and 53 in six innings in this year's Blast. Another contribution of at least 20 should be well within his capabilities.

Matthew Ireland adds:
Captain Sam Curran has led from the front for Surrey in this year's Blast and he has looked in good touch with the bat in recent matches. This Bet Builder builds on the expectation that he could again be central to some Surrey success and also banks on a big Kiwi influence on Friday's proceedings in the form of Kane Williamson and Mitch Santner.

Surrey will be pleased with their progress in the South Group and are chasing a sixth win from their first eight matches on Friday night.
Sam Curran's men dominated Sussex at The Oval on Wednesday and have bossed their recent meetings with Middlesex, winning eight of the pair's last 10 T20 meetings.
Middlesex are seventh in the nine-team section but gave themselves a glimmer of hope as they chase a quarter-final place on Thursday with a one-win run over Essex at Lord's.
