New Zealand v India: Prediction, Tips and Odds

It has been plain sailing for both New Zealand and India in this year's ICC Champions Trophy but they will test one another when they clash in Dubai on Sunday.

Both sides are locked on four points in Group A thanks to wins over Bangladesh and tournament hosts Pakistan, but New Zealand hold top spot as it stands thanks to their superior net-run-rate.

India can leapfrog them into first when the sides meet at the Dubai International Stadium, though, and they are expected to do so at 4/9 to win the match, while the Kiwis are 7/4 shots.

New Zealand v India betting tips and predictions

Ravindra Jadeja top India bowler - 11/2

India have already beaten Bangladesh and Pakistan in Dubai in this tournament and they are well-fancied to take down New Zealand on Sunday.

The worn surface at the Dubai International Stadium has benefited India's arsenal of spin bowlers and, while the Kiwis have a handful of spinners who can capitalise on conditions themselves, it is in the India camp where there is a decent bowler bet.

Veteran Ravindra Jadeja is yet to light up the ICC Champions Trophy but he has put in two solid performances, finishing with a superb economy rate of 4.11 from his nine overs against Bangladesh before picking up a wicket when facing Pakistan.

There has been no standout bowler for India in the tournament so far, with the wickets having been shared around, and it could now be Jadeja's time to shine.

Conditions are conducive to his spin and he warmed up for this tournament with six wickets in two matches against England in February.

Back him at a big price to be India's top wicket-taker.

Under 551.5 match runs- 5/6

Conditions in Dubai favour the bowlers and specifically the spin department and it is fair to say batters have struggled as a result.

The stodgy nature of the square has resulted in pretty low scores in India's opening two matches, with Bangladesh posting just 228 and Pakistan making 241 in the first innings of those encounters.

With that in mind, a bet on under 551.5 match runs is a decent supplementary pick.

Shubman Gill to score over 32.5 runs- 5/6

Shubman Gill was touted as one of the players to keep an eye on in this year's ICC Champions Trophy and he has already matched expectations.

Gill set the tone in India's opening match against Bangladesh, firing an unbeaten 101 from 129 deliveries and that innings featured nine fours and two sixes.

He followed that with a pretty fluent 46 against Pakistan last time out and he has adjusted well to the bowler-friendly conditions in Dubai.

India skipper and opening batsman Rohit Sharma is dealing with a hamstring issue at the moment and is unlikely to be risked for this match, so Gill's role as an opener could be even more important against the Black Caps.

There is every chance he could top score again for his nation but, at 5/6, he is a solid wager to score 33 runs or more.
