Namibia v England: Prediction, Tips and Odds

England hammered Oman by eight wickets on Thursday and the T20 World Cup holders require another win in Saturday's final Group B game against Namibia in Antigua.

Phil Salt - Over 1.5 Sixes @ 5/4

After bowling out Oman for 47 on Thursday, England needed to chase down the target in brisk fashion in order to overturn Group B rivals Scotland's net run-rate advantage.

Opener Phil Salt gave them the perfect start, pumping the first two balls of the innings over the cover boundary for six, before chopping the next delivery onto his stumps.

Salt's selfless innings helped England seal victory in just 3.1 overs, but he will be hoping for a longer stay at the crease in the final group game against Namibia.

Defending champions England will qualify for the Super 8 stage if they win the match and Australia beat Scotland in St Lucia and Salt is worth backing to hit over 1.5 sixes again.

He arrived at the tournament after a dazzling IPL campaign for Kolkata Knight Riders in which he struck 24 sixes in 12 innings.

Salt hit KKR team-mate Mitchell Starc for two sixes during a 23-ball innings of 37 against Australia, so he should fancy his chances against Namibia's attack.

Australia chased down 73 in just 5.4 overs in Namibia's last game and Scotland's Michael Leask hit four sixes against them in his knock of 35 off 17 balls.

Salt has played some devastating T20 international innings in the Caribbean, cracking five sixes on his debut against the West Indies in January 2022.

Last December he scored back-to-back T20 centuries against the Windies, clearing the ropes 19 times in those two innings and he can power England to a vital victory.

Adil Rashid England Top Bowler @ 10/3

Leg-spinner Adil Rashid was outstanding in the rout of Oman, finishing with figures of 4-11 from his four overs and he could have similar success against Namibia.

Rashid's variations were too much for the Oman batters. His first delivery, a sharp leg-spinner, led to a stumping and a couple of dreamy googlies helped him clean up the tail.

Namibia struggled against Australia leggie Adam Zampa at the Sir Vivian Richards Stadium in Antigua earlier this week.

Zampa, like Rashid against Oman, ripped through the lower order to claim 4-12 from his four overs and England's veteran could put Namibia in a spin again.

Gerhard Erasmus - Over 29.5 Performance Points @ 5/6

Namibia captain Gerhard Erasmus fought a lone battle against Australia, contributing 36 of the 63 runs scored off the bat in his side's total of 72 all out.

The off-spinner also bowled the most economical over of the Australia innings, conceding only six runs to slightly delay the Aussies' victory charge and he is worth supporting in the player-performance market against England.

The 29-year-old had a superb T20I series against Oman in April, when his performance make-ups were 23, 118, 15, 55 and 104.

A key man both with bat and ball, he started the T20 World Cup with a performance make-up of 63 against Oman, courtesy of two wickets, a catch and a knock of 13.

Erasmus improved on that effort in the defeat to Scotland, scoring 52 off 31 balls from number four and picking up 2-29 in four overs, so he should be backed to clear a performance line of 29.5, with one point awarded per run, ten per catch and 20 per wicket.
