Kolkata Knight Riders and Sunrisers Hyderabad finished first and second in the IPL regular-season standings so they meet in Tuesday's Qualifier 1.
The winners of the opening game of the play-offs go straight through to Sunday's final in Chennai and a tight contest is expected with Kolkata 10/11 and Hyderabad 10/11.
Tuesday's IPL Qualifier 1 will be shown live on Sky Sports Cricket and Sky Sports Main Event in the UK.
The game starts at 15:00 UK time on Tuesday 21st May at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad.
Kolkata finished three points ahead of second-placed Hyderabad in this season's IPL table and the Knight Riders also hold a significant edge in terms of the head-to-head record.
They have won 17 of the 26 games between the franchises including seven of the last nine.
This term's league meeting was a high-scoring thriller at Eden Gardens, where hosts Kolkata clinched a four-run win with all-rounder Andre Russell scoring 64 not out off 25 balls and taking 2-25.
Both teams have shown massive improvement this season as the Knight Riders had reached the play-offs only once in the last five years - the Sunrisers finished eighth, eighth and 10th in the 10-team league in their last three campaigns.

Opener Phil Salt, who scored 435 runs at a strike-rate of 182 this season, has returned to England to prepare for next month's T20 World Cup.
Afghanistan international Rahmanullah Gurbaz will replace Salt at the top of the order and middle-order batter Nitish Rana returned from injury against Mumbai on 11th May.
Rahul Tripathi should keep his place at number three after scoring a brisk 33 in Sunday's win over Punjab.
South Africa's T20 captain Aiden Markram has not been selected for the last five matches and the Sunrisers may pick only three of their four permitted overseas players - captain Pat Cummins and batters Travis Head and Heinrich Klaasen.
