Adil Rashid - Over 1.5 wickets - 7/4

England and India met in the semi-final of the 2022 T20 World Cup in Adelaide, where openers Jos Buttler and Alex Hales chased down a target of 169 to end India's title dream.

England went on to beat Pakistan in the final, but the defending champions have had a patchy campaign in the Caribbean and will be concerned about the thunderstorms forecast for Thursday.

A washout would see India progress to the final as they won their Super 8 group, while England finished as runners-up to South Africa.

Buttler's side had scraped through to the Super 8 stage, edging out Scotland on net run-rate, and their seven-run defeat to the Proteas means they are facing India, rather than Afghanistan, in the semis.

India have won all six of their completed matches at the tournament and are 8/13 to extend that run at Guyana's Providence Stadium.

Spinners caused problems during the five Group C matches at the venue so India's Kuldeep Yadav and Axar Patel should pose a serious threat to England's batters.

They halted Australia's charge in Monday's final Super 8 game, finishing with combined figures of 3-45 from seven overs in a high-scoring contest, and England need a big performance from veteran leg-spinner Adil Rashid.

Rashid was player of the match in England's final T20 international before the World Cup, claiming 2-27 against Pakistan at The Oval.

He took 4-11 in the rout of Oman which reignited England's title defence and picked up 2-13 off four overs – as well as another player-of-the-match award – against the USA last time out.

Taking on India's batters is a major step up in class, but Rashid bowled beautifully in the Super 8 games against the West Indies and South Africa and is an eye-catching price to take two or more wickets.

Highest individual score - Under 69.5 - 5/6

England captain Buttler blasted an unbeaten 83 off 38 balls in the final Super 8 game against the USA, while his Indian counterpart Rohit Sharma smashed 92 off 41 against Australia on Monday.

However, runscoring may not be so straightforward at the Providence Stadium, where the team batting first made totals of 152-7 and 159-5 in India's T20 series against the West Indies last year.

The Windies made hard work of a chase of 137 against Papua New Guinea in their opening game of the tournament, while Uganda were bowled out for 58 by Afghanistan and 39 by the Windies.

The West Indies' highest individual scores in their two group games in Guyana were 42 not out and 44 so backing under 69.5 in that market appeals in the semi-final.

India's bowlers have been superb at this tournament. Arshdeep Singh has taken 15 wickets in six matches, Jasprit Bumrah has an economy rate of 4.08 runs per over and spinner Kuldeep, recalled for the Super 8 stage, claimed seven wickets in three games.

Liam Livingstone to hit most sixes for England - 11/2

India will be desperate to take early wickets as England openers Buttler and Phil Salt are capable of match-winning innings.

England's middle-order looks less convincing in their match-up with the India spinners, although Liam Livingstone is worth backing to hit the most sixes for the 2022 champions.

Livingstone has had limited time at the crease at this tournament but five of the 33 balls he has faced have been dispatched over the ropes.

He struck a six off ace Australia leg-spinner Adam Zampa in the group game and hit his first two deliveries against Namibia into the stands.

England's number six scored 33 off 17 balls against South Africa, including maximums off fast bowlers Kagiso Rabada and Ottneil Baartman, and he could deliver some semi-final fireworks on Thursday.
