Gujarat Titans v Mumbai Indians: How to watch, TV channel, start time, head-to-head stats and team news

Hardik Pandya will hope to start life with the Mumbai Indians with a bang when he leads the side in their IPL opener against his former franchise, the Gujarat Titans.

The 30-year-old has immediately been handed the captaincy of the five-time winners, taking over from Rohit Sharma, and will go up against some familiar faces after skippering the Titans over the last two years.

Pandya led his former team to the title and runners-up finish in the two years since their formation and his replacement as captain in Ahmedabad, Shubman Gill, has big shoes to fill.

With the T20 World Cup being held soon after the IPL, the tournament is a chance for the pair and others to build form and a win over a potential title rival in the opening round could set the tone for the competition's 17th edition.
