Lauren Bell to take 2+ wickets - 10/11

England Women have a formidable T20I record against Pakistan Women, winning 14 of their 15 meetings - including the last nine.

This month's three-match series is part of the build-up to October's T20 World Cup in Bangladesh, where spin bowling is expected to be a decisive factor.

England are well equipped in that department as Sophie Ecclestone is top of the ICC's T20I bowling rankings, with her fellow spinners Charlie Dean and Sarah Glenn ranked fourth and sixth respectively.

However, England's fast bowlers also pose a threat in home conditions and Lauren Bell looks an appealing candidate to take two or more wickets in Saturday's first T20.

Bell claimed 2-29 and 2-24 in her first two appearances in March's T20 series in New Zealand, where England won 4-1, while she also picked up three wickets in the first ODI against the Kiwis in Wellington.

The tall pace bowler helped roll India over for just 80 in December's T20I clash at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai, where she took 2-18 in three overs and she should be heartened by Pakistan's poor batting performance in Thursday's warm-up match.

Seamers Grace Potts (4-12) and Lauren Filer (2-24) proved too sharp for the tourists, who crawled to 103-9 in 20 overs against an ECB Development XI in Leicester, so Bell should be backed to pick up at least two scalps at Edgbaston.

England's depth of batting talent is reflected by the fact that Tammy Beaumont and Sophia Dunkley have failed to make the squad for the Pakistan series.

The emergence of Maia Bouchier has increased the competition for places in the top order and she will be desperate to build on her impressive tour of New Zealand.

Bouchier's maiden T20 international half-century - 71 off 47 balls in Nelson - could not prevent a three-run defeat for England in the third T20I, but she led her side to victory in the following game, cracking 91 from 56 deliveries after being promoted to open the batting.

She scored a brilliant 95 off 65 against Sri Lanka last summer, in only her second ODI innings, and is a tempting option to top-score in the series opener against Pakistan.

Muneeba Ali to score 20+ runs - 1/1

Pakistan's batting card in Thursday's warm-up game suggests they are in for a tough series against an England team who have reached the final in four of the eight T20 World Cups.

Muneeba Ali was the only visiting batter to reach 15 against a useful bowling attack featuring Filer, Potts, Issy Wong and left-arm spinner Linsey Smith.

Batting at number three, Muneeba anchored the innings with 31 off 32 balls and she has a key role to play in an unconvincing top order.

The left-hander, also one of Pakistan's wicketkeeping options, made 18, 55, 12, eight and 25 in the recent home T20I series against the West Indies and she is a decent price to score 20 or more runs at Edgbaston.

In December's series in New Zealand, Muneeba scored 23, 35 and 27 and she played three matches at Edgbaston during the 2022 Commonwealth Games, top-scoring with 32 in Pakistan's defeat to India.
